Intervention Specialist for MD Classroom
*Classroom is housed in Lewisburg at Twin Valley South Schools
Position Description
Facilitate the education of students with multiple disabilities by the development, implementation, evaluation of student IEPs
Essential Functions
-Ensure safety of students
-Plan, implement and evaluate daily learning activities based on student IEPs
-Utilize Unique Learning System (ULS), Teachtown, and/or have the freedom to self-create and implement instruction
-Provide physical care necessary for maintenance of health and welfare of students
-Communicate with classroom assistants necessary information for student program implementation
-Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning
-Work with Related Service providers (OT, PT, SLP, APE)
-Interact in a positive manner with staff, students, parents and support agencies to involve them in the educational process
-Demonstrate a positive work ethic
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
-Appropriate State of Ohio teaching license as Intervention Specialist
-Experience and/or training which evidences the ability to instruct students with moderate/intensive needs
