At the Recuperative Care Program, Preble Street works in partnership with Greater Portland Health and Maine Medical Center in an innovative program that provides medical services and social services to people experiencing homelessness who have been discharged from hospital care, offering a safe, supportive environment in which to recover in a 15-bed, 24-hour trauma-informed care facility.
Preble Street is seeking a Supervisor to lead and support the overnight team and programming of the Recuperative Care Program (RCP). As a member of the RCP management team, the RCP Supervisor will manage the day-to-day, 3rd shift program activities, lead and participate in direct services to clients, directly supervise the casework team, and work collaboratively and cooperatively with RCP partners.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) awake 3rd shift position has 2 Schedules available: Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday, 10:00pm – 8:00am.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a degree in social work or a related field, with 3 to 5 years relevant, related experience leading a team, or a comparable combination of education, training, and work experience. Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and mental health and substance use disorders are also required qualifications.
Additional requirements include the ability to lead, supervise, and direct the work of direct service staff; strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills; ability to work with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; understanding of and alignment with Preble Street’s mission; and commitment to providing low-barrier, high-quality services with a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The hourly rate of pay for this full-time (40 hours/week) position is $28.72 per hour plus the overnight shift differential of $2.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
