JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Summary of Duties: Build formwork, molds, and plastic for decorative, artistic, and industrial precast concrete products. Work in other related crafts such as plaster or rubber molding, concrete placement and finishing at times, construction of tooling for mold division, as requested by supervision.
Essential Abilities, Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as required):
- Read and understand plans and specifications.
- Visualize two dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
- Must have good math skills with the ability to add and subtract fractional dimensions correctly and calculate angles of cuts as required.
- Must be able to determine the best method for building wood formwork when provided with a set of plans for a precast concrete product.
- Must be skilled and precise in the woodworking industry.
- Follow established jobsite safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts; construct prefabricated wooden forms, according to specifications for molding concrete structures; assemble and install prefabricated forms; assist steel fabrication shop, and assist with concrete placement if needed at times.
- Must have an understanding of different architectural concrete surface finishes and textures.

Education – High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Preferred Experience – Minimum 3 years’ experience as industrial carpenter. Communication Skills – Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then be able to perform the task or project discussed. Also, to be able to ask questions to insure you understand the information given.
Must be punctual.
Must be able to work with teams of multiple employees.
