The Opportunity


Precede Biosciences is seeking a computational biology scientist who also has the ability to successfully project manage. You will play a pivotal role in the lifecycle of our interally generated data, from generation, to QC, to analysis, to annotation and coordination within the computational biology team. This role involves a high level of communication and coordination between diverse cross functional stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication between multiple teams: computational, translational, wet lab, and management. Put simply, this role is our data czar.

Your Role:
  • Lead the QC analysis of Precede’s proprietary data generation platform to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Work with the wet lab to innovate the development and application of novel metrics
  • Provide feedback to experimentalists on data generation outcomes
  • Coordinate with wet lab, dry lab, and translational team to enable universal comprehension and obsrvation of data production vis-à-vis the company’s scientific objectives
  • Visualize and present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay updated with the latest techniques and tools for relevant fields of data analysis and integrate them as necessary
  • Ensure seamless communication between a diverse set of cross functional scientists


Who You Are:
  • MS in Statistics, Bioinformatics or related field plus 3 years of experience, or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or related field
  • Hands on experience with epigenomic data analysis tools and techniques, preferably chromatin immunoprecipitation
  • Familiarity with histone modifications and their biological implications
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple diverse projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent data visualization skills, emphasizing the ability to employ data analysis to convey a scientific position
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team
