CNC Mill Operator Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC milling machines and a solid understanding of machining processes. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The CNC Mill Operator will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines with precision to produce parts according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust machine tools, including selecting appropriate tools and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications.
• Monitor machining processes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products.
• Collaborate with team members in a factory setting to optimize production efficiency.
• Perform materials handling tasks as needed, including loading and unloading materials from machines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred.
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
• Knowledge of assembly processes and factory operations is beneficial.
• Proficient in using hand tools and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers).
• Strong understanding of machining principles, including the ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a warehouse or factory setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
