Maintenance Planner / Senior Maintenance Planner
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner / Senior Maintenance Planner at our Germantown, MD location to join us in our mission to serve patients with our next generation of innovative Gene Therapies. This position will require a professional who is technically savvy, thrives in a dynamic team environment, brings meticulous attention to detail in the quality of their work and is proactive in implementing improvements. This position will provide Facility, Equipment, and Validation Planning support to Precigen’s GMP Manufacturing, Quality Control (QC), and Research and Development (R&D) facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage site Facility, Utility, and Equipment Safety, Maintenance, Calibration, and Validation Programs, coordinating with Safety, Metrology, Facilities, Information Technology (IT), Validation, Supply Chain, User group personnel, and external vendors to ensure the timely completion of Safety, Maintenance, Calibration, and Qualifications on Facility systems, Process Equipment, and Analytical Equipment
- Plan and Schedule materials, tools, documentation, and personnel to ensure recurring activities are executed per assigned schedule and work plans
- Review unscheduled work requests to identify the optimal method/time to complete the activity and plans the execution
- Coordinate physical and IT access to equipment/systems for individuals executing work, including vendor escort as needed.
- Ownership of Inventory in support of above work, maintaining appropriate stock of materials, tools, and consumables in an organized fashion to enable schedule adherence
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) and external tracking, coordination, and management tools such as Smartsheets and Microsoft Office Suite to maintain work schedules and inventory (Role level will be determined based on amount of experience)
- Technical Writing Experience generating Work Instructions, and/or Maintenance Plans
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly to access mechanical, storage, and kitting areas. Able to maneuver equipment and supplies up to 15 pounds.
