Animal Care and Clinical Technician ( part-time weekends)

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Animal Care Technician. This role starts at $20.00 per hour and requires no prior experience—just a passion for animal care and a willingness to learn.

This is a key role in ensuring that our livestock involved in research is healthy and safe by following strict protocols and guidelines to maintain high ethical standards and ensure animal welfare.

Key Duties

• Provide daily care for animals including feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning, breeding, farrowing, weaning and observation
• Administer necessary treatments
• Maintain animal facilities to prevent contamination and disease spread
• Maintain detailed and accurate records for animal treatment, observation, and inventory
  
  

Skills/Abilities

• Solid understanding of the swine biosecurity.
• Desire to ensure that animals have the best care provided.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to keep detailed records
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting
