Part Time Grounds & Maintenance Worker

The Precious Moments Chapel, located in Carthage, Missouri, is seeking a PART TIME Grounds & Maintenance Worker.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Cuts lawn with mowers, trimmers, and other equipment. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls. Weeds flower beds and plants flowers. Uses leaf blower as needed. Maintains lawn by watering and applying fertilizer. Monitors irrigation systems, as needed.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter. Performs general cleaning and housekeeping duties, including cleaning restrooms and common areas, emptying trash, and replenishes supplies as needed. Assists with room setup and tear down for meetings, as needed.
• Performs routine general maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs or air filters, according to schedule. Performs light maintenance work such as painting and low level repair work. Assists with routine preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Assists with installation, maintenance, tear down, and storage of holiday lights and displays throughout the property.
• The facility is open 7 days per week. This position is primarily weekdays, but occasional evenings and/or weekends may be required due to business needs. This is a part time position of less than 30 hours per week.
  
  

This is an entry level position requiring someone who can take direction and work independently. Must be willing to work both outdoors and indoors, as well as operate a variety of equipment to perform the essential functions of the job.

At least 1 year general maintenance experience or training is preferred. General knowledge of general electrical, carpentry, painting, maintenance, or construction is a plus. Current valid driver license required. Previous customer service or custodial experience preferred. Strong customer service focus required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
