The Opportunity
Precious Plate is hiring a Process Control Lab Technician to join our team. As a Process Control Lab Technician, you will be responsible for process solution control and environmental compliance in accordance with ISO regulations. This is a full-time position, working from 6pm – 6am (overnights) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, reporting to the Process Control Lab Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Chemical analysis and production of process solutions
- Precious metals conservation and recovery
- Operation of the waste water treatment system
- Maintain environmental compliance
- Mount, polish, and read cross sections
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions
- Math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to work independently and perform cooperatively with others
- Ability to hear, see, occasionally bend, stoop and kneel, stand for 8 to 12 hours per day, and push, pull or lift up to 50lbs as needed to perform essential job functions
- Basic computers skills required
Working Conditions
- Regularly works with chemical solutions
- Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature
- Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection required
- Other PPE may be required depending on responsibilities
- Could be exposed to background noise, odors, or dust
