Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is looking to hire an Assembler to assemble precision custom components that drive innovation in the medical, aerospace and commercial markets. As an Assembler you will be responsible for assembling complex components to ensure they meet exact specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with small, intricate components, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assemble mechanical custom components according to work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components and subassemblies.
- Request and recommend fixtures for accurate and secure assembly and general improvements
- Inspect and test completed components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues and report any defects or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor/Manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve assembly processes and achieve production goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assembly activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and test results.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Perform laser marking, as needed
- Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 year of mechanical assembly experience with small, precision parts
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, verbally and written, effectively with team members and cross-functionally

Pay Range: $19.00 to 25.00 an hour
