POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for programming and operating Strippit Punch.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Description:
Coordinate all activities required to effectively lay out work. Set up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed fabrication, assembly and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilize resources to minimize scrap, materials and labor
The following are essential position accountabilities:
- Programing
- Implementation of all quality requirements.
- Problem solving skills.
- Understanding of tool dimensions
- Maintains control of non-conforming products per the Quality System.
- Provide positive corrective action on all non-conforming products.
- B/P reading skills.
- Identify and tag rejectable items prior to submission to Inspection.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend all forms of written and / or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprints
- Effectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors and other employees of the organization
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles and volume
- Knowledge of basic concepts of geometry
- Able to apply a commonsense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Able to set up and operate the following equipment in the Fabrication Department: Strippit Punch
- Ability to communicate in the English language.
- Ability to work with management toward Total Quality.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. minimum.
