Job Description

The CDL A Truck driver will run from Franklin, NH, to the distribution center in Groveport, OH. If the distribution center does not have a load to get the driver back to Franklin, NH, they will be assigned a broker load. Departures vary from Franklin, NH, as there are no set times for being dispatched on an NH-OH run. The customer notifies us when they have a load ready. Drivers are typically notified 8-24 hours in advance that a Watts load is ready to be picked up and moved to OH (usually a 14-16 hour trip). The only commitment times are broker/customer loads returning towards Franklin, NH (Home Domicile).NH-OH run averages 1700-2400 miles a week with 1-3 stops depending on the day the driver is
dispatched from Franklin, NH to OH, and the broker/customer load coming back. NH-OH run: Out 3-5 days for a run to OH and back depending on broker load or customer load coming back towards NH (once home, 34 reset unless another load is ready, and the driver has hours and wants to go right back out) 2018 Freightliner Cascadia’s – Auto transmission with Pre-Pass Elite & outward facing video camera, Haul 53’ dry vans – Uses
Omnitracs for E-Log on tablet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age on date of hire.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to read and communicate sufficiently in English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Must have only one valid Driver’s License (free of restrictions or limitations) of the type required and issued by the state of residence. Applicants whose licenses are not issued by their state of residency must complete transfer requests no later than thirty days from the hire date.
• Cannot hold an “Occupational” or “Restricted” license or work permit.
• Must be able to pass standard DOT urine drug screen.
• Must be able to pass company policy hair/nail test.                           
• Ability to meet the requirements of the driver job description.               
• Completes and passes training/orientation requirements, including a road test.
• No more than 10 jobs in the last 3 years. If more than 10, this will require a review by the recruiting manager. More than 5 CDL ORT jobs in the past 12 months will require a review by the recruiting manager.                               
• More than 18 months of unemployment in the past 3 years requires a review by a recruiting manager.                                                                         
• Terminations from previous employers within the last 1 year will require a review by the recruiting manager.                                                                           
• Safety must review safety terminations within the last 3 years.                 
• Drivers must have a minimum of 3 months verified CDL experience with a combination Tractor Trailer, Trailer Length of at least 40 ft. (no training time counted).                                 
• Drivers with less than one year of driving experience must do entry-level training during orientation.

• Sign on Bonus: $1,000 – Paid in full on the second paycheck.
• Referral Bonus: $3,000 – Paid out at $1,000 on 2nd paycheck, $1,000 at 60 days, and $1,000 at 120 days.
• Stop pay: $20.50
• Short Haul: $15-35 varies based on the length of the trip. 200-mile round trip or less
• Delay: $17/hr
• Customer load delay pay starts 1.5 hours after the delay.
• Broker load when it is a first come first serve pickup/delivery starts at 1.5 hours after delay.
• Broker load – when we have an appointment, the delayed pay is set by the rate con.
