Remote - Server Administrator

Precise is currently looking for a Server Administrator to perform administration of primarily Windows based servers hosting an Enterprise Software System hosted in multiple environments, including an on-premise data center, AWS, and Azure.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to -

• Perform integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, patching, security implementation, and configuration management of software on Windows-based 2016 VM servers running IIS, SQL Server, and Tableau.
• Monitor and tune the performance of custom .NET and .NET Core applications on multiple IIS servers, including in a load balanced configuration.
• Perform deployments of software releases to the IIS servers.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot running of Elasticsearch and Redis on Linux servers.
• Assist in management of multiple VM Windows servers running in a corporate development environment in a Windows domain.
• Monitor, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Azure DevOps development environment consisting of multiple GIT branches with automated build pipelines to associated databases and IIS servers.
• Administer policies and standards related to security and technical implementation guidance following government guidelines and requirements.
• Coordinate with data center and information assurance personnel to perform software security testing and scans.
• Interact with users, data center employees, and developers to assist with problem-solving.
• Maintain system documentation.

Required Education

• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics.

Required Experience:

• At least three (3) years of experience with Windows Server IIS and SQL Server system administration to include full management of servers and completing administrative tasks.
• At least one year of Azure or AWS cloud experience.
• Azure DevOps experience desired.
• At least one year of experience with administration of a Linux web server desired.
• Microsoft Windows Server or Cloud Administration certification.
• CompTIA Security , or similar IAT Level II certification desired

Allowable Substitution:

• An AS or AA degree and three (3) years of experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree; OR
• Seven (7) years of experience that matches the experience/training requirement for this position may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.

Desired Experience:

• Customer relations experience in non-computer field.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics.
• Active DoD Secret clearance, or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance in 30 days, is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $68,090.42 to $102,135.62 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
