We are seeking a Technical Writer II to provide support for our customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing and be able to perform the following duties:
- Provide technical writing support for the full MTS family of systems.
- Generate changes and creation of technical data packages, including Technical Repair Standards (TRSs) and Programming Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Develop and review technical documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWR), etc.
- Support the completion of the Illustrated Parts Breakout (IPB) by manipulating STP files and converting them into PDF format.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's level degree in any field.
- 3 years work-related experience in technical writing/editing.
- Experience writing technical documents, including standard operating procedures, test plans, maintenance manuals, and other instructional and guidance documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Acrobat, Depot Maintenance Working Requirements (DMWR's), Photography of work, and incorporating into DMWR's.
- CAD experience with PTC Creo or SolidWorks/Solid Edge. Adobe Illustrator knowledge is beneficial.
- Ability to extract parts, drawings, etc. within CAD tools for identification, organization, and conversion to PDF format.
