JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Quality Director, the Jr. Quality Control Engineer supports the Quality Management Team while learning the role of the Quality Engineer. This includes becoming proficient in Engineering drawings, GD&T, Mechanical Inspection, CMM report translation, customer supplier portals and understanding very detailed customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Promote and support the requirements and principles of the Precise Quality Management System and AS9100.
- Supporting the submission of product qualification packages using various customer formants (i.e. AS9102, PPAP, custom customer quality requirements).
- Participate in daily Material Review Board and tracking open Nonconforming Material Reports until closed.
- Assist the receiving inspection process when required.
- Auditing of production parts being manufactured on the shop floor. Working with machine operators.
- Complete Quality Projects to support learning the Quality Engineering position (i.e. Statistical Process Control implantation, first piece turn-around times, and auditing of in-process inspections on the shop floor to assure that they are being done as noted on traveler.)
- Learn all aspects of the Quality Department by working one on one with Quality Team individuals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

JOB BENEFITS
According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $18.00 - $22.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
