We have an opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist position at our Atlanta, GA facility.
JOB PURPOSE
The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in driving the growth and profitability of PAG by ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and the proper posting of payments and credits. This position works closely with internal and external customers to manage accounts receivable and must excel in customer service, communication, and collection efforts. The Specialist collaborates with the sales team, customers, and external collection partners to meet company objectives and deliver an exceptional experience throughout the sales and collection process.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure accurate coding of customer invoices and post daily sales transactions to the general ledger.
- Email/mail customer invoices daily and provide statements as needed.
- Review and process credit memos; reconcile customer receivable balances.
- Post daily cash receipts to appropriate customer accounts.
- Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers.
- Reconcile customer statements and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
- Assist in customer account collections and month-end closing processes.
Software Familiarity:
- Pentagon/Quantum accounting software.
- Workspace tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Perform general office clerical tasks.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently.
- Exercise sound judgment in daily activities.
Work Location: PAG Offices are located on Lake Mirror Road building in Atlanta, GA and Circle 75 in Smyrna, GA.
Education/Training:
- Accounting degree preferred, but not required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in accounts receivable and/or collections.
