We have an immediate opening for an Avionics Technician position at our PAG Velocity, Burbank, CA facility.
JOB PURPOSE
Test, troubleshoot, diagnose component level repair and modify a variety of aviation instruments and accessories to ensure perfect function and provide the customer with reliable and highest quality repairs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits to component level
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders
- Analyze malfunctions using electronic test equipment, schematics and technical publications
- Built test equipment utilizing approved design date and/or manufacturers drawings
- Collaborate with team members for efficient and effective work environment
- Complete all required paperwork related to repairs performed
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area on a daily basis
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Work Location: PAG Velocity, Burbank CA.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of information; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; multi-tasking a necessity; thorough knowledge of 145 repair station standard practices and procedures; ability to type with accuracy and speed; ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and to project a positive, concerned image to the public; ability to work without supervision; ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronic repair, knowledge of Wheatstone bridge theory and ohms law. Experience in a 145 repair station a plus.
