We currently have a position open for a Logistics Coordinator position at Trace Aviation in Jackson, MS.
JOB PURPOSE
The role exists to enhance and provide industry leading warehouse & logistics services in support of our mission critical customer base.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Promptly process incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and quality assurance.
- Conduct receiving inspections on incoming customer repairs to verify compliance with FAA, EASA, and internal requirements.
- Organize and maintain inventory and the warehouse to provide a safe, clean, and functional working environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory by performing regular physical counts, reconciling variances, and updating data systems.
- Collaborate with the sales department to coordinate outgoing shipping and incoming shipments, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met.
- Work closely with disassembly and assembly team members to ensure seamless workflow and coordination.
- Communicate and assist in directing the boxing team to meet time-sensitive outgoing shipping requirements.
- Prepare waybills and required documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
- Unbox landing gear components using box cutters and place them on rolling racks for further processing.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 60 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Forklift experience preferred.
Work Location: Trace Aviation in Jackson, Mississippi
Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations or related field preferred.
