We currently have a position open for Paint and Coatings Technician with PAG’s EDN Aviation at Van Nuys, CA division.
JOB PURPOSE
To perform painting and enhance parts flow in the Paint Department.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform painting tasks on various parts.
- Sand and prepare parts to ensure proper surface readiness for painting.
- Conduct touch-up work on plastic or aluminum parts as needed.
- Apply clear coats to painted surfaces.
- Demonstrate knowledge of FED-STD-595 for color specifications and standards.
- Accurately match colors and mix paint to ensure consistency and quality.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Work Location: EDN AVIATION at Van Nuys, CA 91406
Protective Equipment Required: Fitted Mask, Gloves, and Filters.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.
Experience: At least 5 years of related experience in Aviation Field, or related field preferred.
