We have an opening for a Turbine Engine Technician – Field Service position at our Butler, PA facility.
JOB PURPOSE
The Turbine Engine Technician – Field Service provides domestic and international field service maintenance and repair support for PT6A and PT6T turbine engines. This role also supports PAG Engine facilities as needed.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform inspection, ground operation, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of engines and related accessories installed in customer aircraft, following applicable manufacturer's instructions.
- Execute duties with professionalism, ensuring service conforms to manufacturer specifications and meets customer satisfaction.
- Monitor tooling calibrations for equipment used in designated tasks.
- Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.
- Make airworthiness determinations and provide certification for work performed, including final inspection and release to service of any work accomplished within the Repair Station's capability.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective communication with customers, brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to enhance opportunities for new and ongoing business development.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
- Requires extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching over shoulder level, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds.
- Work in limited spaces.
- Repetitive hand movement.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must possess FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments necessary for job assignments.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Education/Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical Airframe/Powerplant training, obtained through trade school or a military aircraft maintenance program.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the aviation maintenance environment, preferably with PT6A/PT6T series turbine engines.
Certificates/Licenses: FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification required.
