Job Description:
We are looking for an expeditor to join our team. General responsibilities of the role will be to facilitate smooth shipping processes and ensuring strong communication with customers and suppliers as well as tracking parts sent to outside services (labs and machine shops)
- Tracking orders: Maintaining a system to track part orders and deliveries, and prioritizing them based on production schedules and purchase orders.
- Communicating with vendors: Ensuring parts are delivered accurately and on time by communicating with vendors.
- Coordinating deliveries: Working with warehouse staff to receive deliveries, and scheduling pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers.
- Managing inventory: Controlling inventory levels and reconciling discrepancies.
- Resolving issues: Addressing supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with suppliers
- Generating reports: Creating reports that detail inventory levels and supply chain performance
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement strategies
- Assist quality technician as needed.
- Contact outside vendors and services. Provide updates and reports to management in regards to commit dates for outside services. Maintain strong communication with our outside service vendors. Facilitate smooth outside processes in order to reach production goals.
