MISSION:
To assemble complex segmented patterns in a dimensionally controlled fixture in preparation for the gating process.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
General
- To inspect pattern components and dimensional fixture prior to loading.
- Pre-inspects pattern and dimensional fixture prior to start of assembly.
- Reads and follows technique card assembly instructions, which describe numerous unique assembly steps of a complex nature; plans the methods for completing a given assignment and selects among alternative assembly methods.
Assembly
- To accurately assemble complex multi-component patterns to maintain dimensional integrity.
- Assembles complex multi-component patterns by means of torch, hot pencils, and a variety of hand tools.
- Assembles complex patterns using full-time dimensional fixturing to maintain dimensional control and stability.
- Manipulates fixture/pattern components to remove configuration discrepancies and verify dimensional integrity
- Possibly develops code sheets for engineering-requested modifications or deviations to standard assemblies.
- Inspects assemblies during and after the assembly process to detect defects and ensure quality.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to apply pattern assembly techniques, methods, materials, fixturing and construction.
- Experience assembling wax patterns and/or pattern finishing is preferred or the equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
- Ability to work in a team environment and promote team development.
- Ability to read and follow complex written instructions.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred twenty five pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, fumes, crowding, awkward physical positions, abrasions, cuts, and chemicals.

Lead Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains daily and weekly production output to meet the production plan and minimizes scrap.
- Ensures outgoing patterns meet or exceed standards. Enforces work standards per company policy
- Ensures proper training of direct reports. Determines standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned.
- Takes initiative on problem solving efforts.
- Reviews production and operating reports and ensures operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems are resolved to minimize costs and prevent operational delays.
- Ensures documentation of standard operational and working practices is followed
- Collaborates on development and implementation of the structures and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its growth.
- Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined, understood, and executed.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster aid promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is highly preferred but will train the right candidate
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- This position require some computer skills.
- Ability to speak Vietnamese is a plus
