Responsible for the direction of the Permaswage Supply Chain. This includes direction, management, and oversight of a) the coordination and physical progression of material through the production system, b) purchasing and procurement, c) production scheduling and control, d) product cost estimation and planning functions. Reports financial information on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Submits capital purchases and significant proposed actions for approval.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complies with and enforces all company safety rules and regulations as well as correcting unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ensures production plans and controls are developed and executed
- Responsible for complete Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SIOP) processes. Lead the organization in aligning Sales backlog, procurement strategy, fulfillment and inventory levels.
- Responsible for the purchasing, procurement, and outside vendor functions
- Ensure that product planning, estimation and pricing functions are managed efficiently to ensure accuracy, timeless and cost effectiveness. Functional requirements also include bill of material and creation/maintenance of detailed process instructions
- Responsible for directing the program development and administration to plan material control schedules for operating departments. Also responsible for the operational oversight of the supply chain departments and the smooth flow of materials through the factory
- Drive continuous improvement and operational cost reductions through use of systems, controls, and policies.
- Responsible for the establishment and implementation of inventory policies that are conducive to achieving the company’s customer service and financial goals
- Plans staff size to accomplish normal assignments. Assists the Operations Director in evaluating the status of production facilities and the need for changes (long or short term) in personnel levels and equipment
- Responsible for seeing that the monthly shipping level and on-time delivery goals are achieved
- Plans and carries out a continuous program of operations improvement, modernization, and cost reduction/avoidance
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- 8 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing setting
- 5 years of supervisory experience required
- Proficiency using ERP software, JDE/Syteline preferred, but not required
- Mathematical expertise
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Ability to concentrate on specific objectives, while managing multiple priorities, people, and functions
- Strategic thinker who can put complex situations together and drive clarity across the organization
- Ability to influence multiple cross functional departments that allow alignment of goals and objectives
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline from four-year college or university

- This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
