Job Description
MISSION:
Develops investing shell building techniques for all parts to include hand and robotic processing. Ensures that investing processes provide optimum casting quality and maintains slurries to process requirements. Reports to the Investing Area Manager.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.

Job Description
MISSION:
Develops investing shell building techniques for all parts to include hand and robotic processing. Ensures that investing processes provide optimum casting quality and maintains slurries to process requirements. Reports to the Investing Area Manager.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops techniques and procedures to process development parts through investing.
- Develops and improves shell building processes.
- Analyzes manufacturing processes to identify and execute improvements utilizing lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies
- Devises and maintains all robotic dipping techniques and maintains robot program library.
- Provides engineering guidance in efforts to maintain process control and improve quality
- Tracks and reports on part quality trends as they relate to techniques, processes, or operators.
- Documents process limitations and coordinates with Part and Process Engineering.
- Supports production to ensure attainment of business goals, including addressing quality issues, working directly with manufacturing personnel to ensure a smooth-running operation
- Contributes to specification, selection and execution of major capital and tooling acquisitions in order to drive technology improvements that positively impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Inventory.
- Ensures all work is in compliance with environmental, health and safety standards, industry specifications, customer requirements, company standards and related specifications
- Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma Tools, at minimum a willingness to learn and apply the tools.
- Basic Fanuc Robot Programming
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effective communication skills communication: Listening, Verbal and Written.
- Self-motivated, committed, with a bias for action that delivers results
- S. in Ceramic, Chemical, or Materials Engineering or B.S. in Chemistry.
- A broad and thorough knowledge of investment casting technology processes and manufacturing methods
