Job Description

Position Summary:

The Operations Coordinator (Logistics Specialist) is a critical driver of production efficiency, responsible for managing logistics, scheduling, and cross-functional communication. This role ensures seamless execution of production workflows by tracking order progress, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and maintaining alignment with production and shipping schedules. Success in this position requires strong leadership, organizational expertise, and strategic problem-solving to optimize operations and maintain continuous productivity.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Scheduling:
    • Oversee the planning and scheduling of production orders to meet operational and delivery targets.
    • Own the execution of the weekly shipping plan, working closely with the Production Manager, department leads, and sales team to drive performance and ensure key metrics are met.

  • Workflow & Bottleneck Resolution:
    • Monitor production flow to maintain consistent progress and prevent delays.
    • Partner with forge leads and production teams to ensure efficient shift transitions and workload distribution.
    • Identify operational constraints and proactively implement solutions to eliminate resource gaps and workflow disruptions.

  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Act as the central point of coordination between production, supply chain, and management to drive efficiency and alignment.
    • Accurately enter timecards into Oracle to maintain proper reporting and workforce tracking.
    • Deliver real-time shipping plan updates to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
    • Provide detailed, data-driven reports on order status, enabling informed decision-making.
    • Anticipate and address production bottlenecks, working strategically with management to implement corrective actions

  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Enforce adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance.
    • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
Required Skills:

  • Preferred - Fluent Spanish Speaker
  • Proven experience in operations coordination, manufacturing support, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in data tracking, reporting systems, and production scheduling tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and drive operational excellence.

Experience & Education

  • BS in related degree or equivalent job experience (3 years)
  • 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing and/or aerospace environment

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $22.00 to $34.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 40 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
