PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.

Job Description
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Schedule, perform, and maintain digital x-ray system qualifications for the campus.
- Maintain the radiation safety program for the campus as the FXRSO.
- Review and maintain all x-ray logs.
- Ensure that all x-ray personnel have the proper dosimetry. Issue dosimetry to all applicable participants. Distribute and collect from participants each quarter. Work with vendor for processing.
- Calibration and maintenance of radiation safety devices.
- Maintain equipment registrations with the state.
- Perform surveys and audits on x-ray vaults.
- Perform annual eye exams.
- Assist with annual or semiannual process audits for x-ray and digital x-ray.
- Assist with NADCAP audit.
- Perform stamp audits.
- Must interface with customers and outside authorities in a professional manner.
- Identify potential areas of cost reductions.
- Be able to assist manufacturing during end of quarter requirements for throughput.
- Write and assist at administering root cause and corrective action forms.
- Perform root cause and corrective actions on breakdowns in process requirements.
- May be called in for exposures, investigations, any structural damage, and subsequent documentation of situation.
- Must be certified level 2 in digital x-ray.
- Must have taken and passed 8 hours of auditor training and perform 2 practice audits with a certified auditor/trainer.
- Must have at least 6-7 years of actual inspection time with very few escapes or quality issues.
- Considerable knowledge of and familiarity with NDT principles as well as a working knowledge of NDT methods other than those not currently used at the facility.
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply and adapt a wide variety of technical procedures under general direction and to complete work independently.
- Ability to develop NDT work instructions.
- Ability to plan, schedule, evaluate and coordinate a wide variety of major projects.
- Maybe required to complete hazardous waste management training.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint computer programs.
