Job Description
Position Summary:
Level One – Level One: At the direction of the Quality manager, level one quality inspectors train to develop the ability to use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to perform in-process and completed inspection of products such as machined parts, mechanical assemblies, processed parts and purchased standard hardware. They also perform verifications of part identification and configurations. Level one quality inspectors will arrange inspection queues to identify priority work. In addition, they will identify and segregate non-conforming product using basic knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing methods per ASME 14.5, and common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators as necessary to complete assignments. Level one quality inspectors will demonstrate blueprint reading and basic math skills, basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to use MRP or ERP systems after instruction. Typically 0-1 years of experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.

- With assistance, perform in process and completed inspections for machined, purchased or assembled product.
- Organize incoming inspection work by identifying work priority.
- Identify and separate non-conforming product from conforming product.
- Basic proficiency in shop math and GD&T comprehension and application.
- Basic print reading and application.
- A familiarity with a wide range of inspection tools and processes.
- Basic computer and software literacy. (MS Suite, File Navigation)
- This position is an entry level position and offers training opportunities. However, experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Typically 0-1 years of experience
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
