Pipelayer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for laying pipes for water, storm or sanitation sewers, drainage, and other utility systems. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work with various types of heavy equipment. The Pipelayer will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification.

Duties

• Install and maintain various types of piping systems, ensuring proper alignment and grade.
• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, and forklifts for digging trenches and moving materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
• Conduct utility locating to avoid existing underground utilities during installation.
• Utilize pipe lasers for precise installation of pipes.
• Perform concrete forming as needed for pipe supports or related structures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the construction site.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.

Experience

• Proven experience in pipelaying or a related construction field is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including skid steers and trackhoe operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans is essential.
• Experience with utility locating techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety practices on construction sites is required.
• Previous experience in concrete forming is advantageous.

Pay: $20.22 - $21.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
