Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser/Punch Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating our Laser/Punch machines to produce high-quality components while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal.
Duties
- Operate laser cutting and punch machines to perform precise cuts on various materials, primarily sheet metal.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in tooling setup and adjustments as needed for different production runs.
- Support other manufacturing processes when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and its operations is a required.
- Experience in quality inspection processes to ensure product integrity.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
