ABOUT PRECISION DIAGNOSTICS:
Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California is afast-growingclinical laboratory that specializes in providing quantitative drug testing, primarily for the purpose of helping physicians monitor their patient's undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.
The Laboratory Technician performs only those high complexity tests that are authorized by the Laboratory Director and require a degree of skill commensurate with the individual’s education, training or experience and technical abilities. The Laboratory Technician must pass a training and examination regimen that demonstrates their ability to perform specific tasks.
THE ROLE:

Follow standard operating procedure (SOP) for specimen handling and processing
-
Demonstrate working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation operation and maintenance.

Follow SOP for solvent preparation
-
Ability to properly utilize laboratory software

Properly filling out daily logs

High School diploma or equivalent from US institution or if from foreign institution must be evaluated by a NACES organization member

Previous lab experience preferred

Become fluent in Microsoft 365 (formerly Office635) applications assigned to your role. Common applications include: Teams, Word, Excel, Tasks and Planner

Complete training in a timely manner that is assigned to you. Training is primarily conducted via Microsoft Learn modules and is assigned based on:

Position/Job Role – Most positions require a core set of Microsoft 365 working knowledge

Project Role – As member of a project team, you may be required to complete training before you can engage with the project team or commence project work

Ad-Hoc – Based on review of your performance via support requests, training modules will be assigned to increase skills
ADDITIONAL JOB CONSIDERATIONS:

This role operates in a laboratory environment.
-
This role routinely uses laboratory equipment and requires the use of PPE.

Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including:
-
Stand for long periods of time. Estimate 90% of time is spent standing and 10% spent sitting.
-
Have frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat and reach above shoulders.
-
Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities.
-
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

No travel is expected for this position.
-
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
