Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Automotive or Heavy Duty Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their purchases, answer inquiries, and promote our products effectively. A strong background in Automotive / Heavy Duty parts sales and customer service is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked inventory, ensuring products are readily available for customers.
- Coordinate work orders with production team.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries and orders over the phone.
- Upsell additional products or services based on customer needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent service delivery.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and keeping track of product availability.
- Provide feedback on customer preferences and trends to help improve product offerings.
- Purchasing of product through suppliers' ecommerce platforms for pending work orders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in Automotive retail environment.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to upselling and promoting products effectively.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive customer relationships.
