Quality Inspector:
Responsibilities
- Compliance with all quality system procedures and Company safety requirements
- Advocating quality principles and practices
- Good housekeeping
- Inspection of product at Receiving and Production (In-process and Final) and distribution of daily inspection activity reports
- Working with the Material Review Board to resolve customer and supplier quality issues
- Assisting with the development of inspection plans
- Complete First Article Inspections
- Complete shop floor audits
- Assisting in supplier audits when needed
- Review and verification of supplier submitted First Article parts and reports
- Train employees as needed
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- A minimum of 1 (one) year experience in the inspection field or manufacturing using standard inspection equipment and prints to determine conformance to requirements
Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twisting
- Must have vision correctable to 20/20
- Ability to distinguish color
- Must be able to interpret complex part drawings, including GD & T
- Understand the use and limitations of standard inspection measuring and test equipment
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must be available for all shifts
- Advanced Gage knowledge
