Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM (Building Information Modeling) Detailer proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Trimble to join our team. As a BIM Detailer, you will be responsible for creating and managing detailed design drawings, models, and construction documentation using various BIM software tools. You will work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Modeling and Detailing:
- Develop and refine detailed 2D and 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit based on project specifications and design requirements.
- Produce detailed drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details, adhering to project standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to integrate design changes and revisions into the models and documentation.
- Project Documentation:
- Create accurate, high-quality construction documentation, including plans, schedules, and diagrams, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize Bluebeam for PDF markups, reviews, and collaborative documentation during design and construction phases.
- Prepare coordination drawings and clash detection reports using Revit and Trimble for effective construction planning.
- Coordination and Collaboration:
- Coordinate and manage BIM workflows, ensuring all project data is integrated into a single model.
- Review and resolve design discrepancies, conflicts, and issues through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in BIM coordination meetings and provide input for clash detection and resolution.
- Trimble Integration:
- Utilize Trimble software for point cloud data processing, site layout, and construction documentation.
- Support the implementation of Trimble tools for accurate construction measurements and verification.
- Quality Control and Revisions:
- Perform quality checks on BIM models and drawings to ensure they are accurate, complete, and meet project requirements.
- Update and maintain project files and drawings, incorporating changes as requested by the design team or clients.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to junior BIM team members and other project stakeholders on BIM software tools and workflows.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in BIM detailing, with a focus on AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Trimble. Experience in a construction, architectural, or engineering firm is an asset.
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Trimble software (e.g., Trimble SketchUp, Trimble Connect, Trimble Business Center) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows and construction detailing.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction processes.
- Familiarity with clash detection and BIM coordination processes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of additional BIM tools such as Navisworks, Tekla Structures, or Dynamo for Revit.
- Familiarity with point cloud scanning and integration into BIM models.
- Experience in 3D visualization or rendering software is a plus.
