Precision Electronic Services, an Industrial Electronic Controls service and support business located in Danville, Virginia, is seeking an individual to oversee our business operations in the position of General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
o Work with the company’s executive management, department managers and work staff to ensure the company’s mission and goals are met on a daily basis.
o Oversee all of the company’s departments and employees, reviewing procedures & policies to ensure compliance, while making recommendations and changes as necessary.
o Work with executive management overseeing the company’s financial performance to ensure profitability and sustained growth.
o Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to maintain proper staffing levels and a high-performing team.
o Coordinate strategies with departments as needed to provide a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
Required Skills:
o Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking and decision-making skills related to managing a technology business and its employees.
o Extensive knowledge of industrial electronic controls including VFDs, DC drives, HMI products, servo drives, servo motors, PLC products, etc.
o Knowledge of electronic circuits, components and repair techniques related to industrial electronic control equipment.
o Proficient with MS Office products, including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access (or similar database program).
o IT knowledge including an understanding of computer networking systems and the ability to troubleshoot or assist with computer system problems.
o Strong attention to detail.
o Marketing skills sufficient to oversee and direct the company’s sales department staff to expand and grow market share. This includes the company’s website and other digital marketing, as well as phone marketing.
Experience Required:
o Minimum 20 years of experience in the industrial controls industry, ideally while being employed at an industrial controls repair facility.
o Minimum 10 years of management experience in the industrial electronic controls industry, including experience overseeing multiple departments of an industrial controls company (service, sales, logistics, purchasing, etc.).
Education Required:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering (industrial controls or related).
o Extensive study or degree in electronics or similar military training is also beneficial.
o Formal education related to computer technology is desired.
