What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Technician position at Precision Engineering Corporation?
PEC is currently seeking a construction materials technician for a full-time position. The job is based out of Oxford, Mississippi and requires day travel to various job sites with occasional overnight travel.
Duties include:
Field and/or laboratory testing, construction observation, and inspection of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Communicate test results in a clear and concise manner with appropriate individuals. Work will require tabulation and calculation of laboratory results and preparation of field reports. Also includes maintaining and cleaning equipment, vehicles and work areas. Will occasionally require work with drill rig during geotechnical investigations. Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs. multiple times a day
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history. No experience in construction materials testing is required.
We ask that you take the business math assessment as part of your application. The position requires calculations of a similar nature as asked in this assessment.
Starting pay is $17.00/hr with overtime pay. Pay will increase to $18.00 with completion of internal training and acquiring ACI Certification within 6 months. Pay will increase with acquiring additional certifications.
