Must Have Recent Welding Experience
- Must have formal welding training (academic or experience-based) and pass ASME Section 9 Certification. Only exceptional candidates will be considered at the highest compensation.
- Review daily, weekly and monthly production objectives.
- Review drawings and packages for weldability – comfortable with shop math for dimensions, part location, etc
- Review welding approach with grinding/polishing and machining to ensure that subsequent operations will be well served by the welding approach
- Ensure all parts are thoroughly cleaned prior to welding
- Inspect weld for proper condition
- i. Aesthetics
- ii. Discoloration
- iii. Inclusion
- iv. Porosity
- v. Concavity
- vi. Convexity
- vii. Consistency
- Pursue a policy of continuous improvement both on a weld level, and a personal level with quarterly training objectives
- Fabricate cylinder components
- Other duties as needed (cleaning, polishing, testing, inventory, etc)
- Desired experience includes 316L welding; vacuum industry welding; semiconductor industry welding
