POSITION SUMMARY: The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and productivity of associates across various departments. This position involves working closely with Business Unit Managers and Supervisors to identify training needs and ensure that all associates are equipped with the necessary skills to operate machinery, adhere to safety standards, and meet quality guidelines. The Training Manager will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the plant, ensuring that employees are well-prepared to meet production goals, comply with industry regulations, and contribute to the overall success of the plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that address both technical and soft skills for employees at all levels.
- Collaborate with business unit managers and supervisors to assess training needs and identify performance gaps.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality procedures in all training activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Maintain and update training materials, ensuring content remains relevant and aligned with evolving industry trends and plant operations.
- Manage training records and ensure that all associates are certified or compliant with the required training standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the plant.
- Organize and lead safety training programs to minimize workplace accidents and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in training or instructional design, preferably in a manufacturing or textile industry.
- Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess training needs and adapt programs accordingly.
- Familiarity with training technologies and e-learning platforms is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to Facilitate Technical and Non-Technical Personnel

- Understanding of Operational Side of business
- Ability to be objective, unbiased and consistent with policies and procedures
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This job is conducted in an office and manufacturing environment with frequent computer use.
- Work involves standing and walking up to 50% of the time. Must have ability to bend, kneel, and reach.
- Must be able to exert up to 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- The noise level in the work environment is dictated by the work area.
- Responsibilities may occasionally require adjusted work schedules, overtime and weekend hours to meet deadlines.
LANGUAGE/COMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Must have the skill set to create materials and make presentations to professional staff.
