This role is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front office experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, families, and vendors with professionalism and a warm demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments while managing provider calendars.
- Verify insurance information, collect co-pays, and process patient payments.
- Maintain and update patient records in the EMR system.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and route messages to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with new patient registration, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
- Coordinate referrals and obtain necessary authorizations as needed.
- Collecting payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front office area.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical office training preferred.- Experience: 1-2 years of medical office or front desk experience preferred.
