What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) position at Precision Healthcare Specialists?
Essential Job Duties:
- Examines patient, takes medical history, records results, and makes preliminary diagnosis or in conjunction with the physician decides on follow up
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Administers and orders diagnostic tests and interprets test results
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and managing infection
- In combination with the physician will develop and implement patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress
- Medication prescription to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinical regulations
- Provides patient education
- Assists physician in patient surgical procedures
- Follow up on patients both inpatient and outpatient
