Division/Operations Manager 


The Metal Hose Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing processes within a fabrication facility. This leadership role requires ensuring that production activities are conducted efficiently, meet established timelines, and remain within budget, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. The Plant Manager supervises a team of skilled workers and technicians, optimizing production workflows, managing material sourcing, and integrating innovative manufacturing strategies. This position is pivotal in facilitating seamless operations and aligning the fabrication department with the organization’s strategic goals, promoting a culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage the daily operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to review, interpret, and accurately execute fabrication drawings and project specifications.
  • Oversee the inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring adherence to quality standards and effective cost control.
  • Establish and maintain safety protocols and training programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor the performance and condition of fabrication equipment, scheduling regular maintenance and necessary upgrades to reduce downtime.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the fabrication department and other divisions, including sales, design, and customer service, to align project goals and timelines.
  • Identify, research, and implement advanced fabrication techniques and new technologies to boost product quality, lower costs, and streamline operations.
  • Inspire and develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and training. Encourage growth in job skills, safety practices, and work habits. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to foster accountability and professional development.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum (7) years’ experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager or Department Manager in a manufacturing environment with experience in a metal’s environment preferred, or a combination of degree and experience.
  • Proficiency in using shop floor metrology and inspection tools, including height gauges, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
  • Proven experience in fabrication management, particularly within metal hose manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a skilled workforce.
  • Expertise in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization and implementing innovative manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise in ISO 9001 standards.
