We are currently seeking a PRN Front Desk/Tech Assistant to work at our St. Augustine location in Jacksonville, FL. This is an exciting opportunity in healthcare that allows you to grow your career while playing a vital role in patient care and operations.
Some shifts will be up to 12 hours and may include weekends.
Position Overview:
As a PRN Front Desk/Tech Assistant, you’ll be handling front desk duties while also working closely with Technologists to assist patients during imaging procedures. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth administrative operations, and assisting in patient preparation for their imaging exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact, greeting patients warmly and ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.
- Assist Technologists by preparing patients for their procedures and offering support during imaging sessions.
- Register patients and ensure all necessary information, including insurance, is up to date.
- Handle payments and process financial transactions accurately.
- Manage incoming phone calls, directing them appropriately professionally.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering patient convenience and center efficiency.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Provide support for additional center operations as needed, always with a focus on patient care.
Requirements:
- A solid two-year work history in customer service, hospitality, or patient care is required to ensure you bring strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to this role.
- Ability to work as needed (PRN) based on the center’s schedule and patient volume.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to engage with patients effectively, physicians, and colleagues.
- Ability to assist Technologists with patient preparation and support.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multitasking with a patient-centered approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills when handling patient-related tasks.
- Familiarity with phone and computer systems; ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a medical office or radiology setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in a customer service, hospitality, or patient care role is essential.
