Area of Responsibility: This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, analyzing financial data and providing financial guidance to the company. This position will also have a key role in critical financial activities such as the month-end close, year-end close, budget, cost accounting, external audit and financial projects needed to achieve department goals. This is 100% in the office position, Monday to Friday.
Accountabilities:
- Participate in the completion of required day-to-day financial accountabilities for Aquatrols Corporation of America, Aquatrols Europe and Precision Laboratories with other accounting team members in areas such as treasury, management accounting, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Assist the Global Senior Accountant with the completion of the financial statements and required financial related activities such as the external audit for Aquatrols Europe Ltd and Turftech International.
- Maintain transfer pricing in SAP based on guidance received from Lamberti Corporate in Italy.
- Maintain and set-up accounting views, costing views and routings in SAP.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders such as sales and operations for decision-making.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary with the assistance of the Agro Division CFO and Accounting Managers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and assist with the completion of the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Assist with completion of annual external audit requirements.
- Completion of projects assigned by the Agro Division CFO and Accounting Managers to achieve shared service goals.
- Back-up to other Senior Accountants
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Proficient in using SAP and MS Office applications, with proficient to advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
