What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Processing Specialist position at Precision Labs?
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Data entry of lab specimens and patient information
Answer phones and resolve lab related client issues (test result issues, fax issues, etc.)
Monitor LIS fax machine to see that results are being faxed, resolve any issues.
Review all data is entered correctly for billing
Reject specimens if not delivered to the lab correctly (labeled incorrectly, etc.)
Prepare specimens for reference labs.
Organize lab for the following day.
Assist with lab and or billing issues as assigned by management
Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Hourly wage is negotiated by experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
