Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff to foster a productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline distribution center operations.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse management techniques.
- Proficient in shipping and receiving processes within a distribution center setting.
- Experience with inventory management systems and process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and motivate staff towards achieving goals.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
