Description:
Inspects general machining operations during production sequence to ensure conformance of all parts with the customer specifications and per Aerospace requirements.
Prepares, reviews, and submits pertinent Quality documentation for shipments, source inspection, and other customer document requirements.- Inspects parts as required by router for each part number.
- Measures the layout and physical dimensions of machined parts, using combinations of aids and precision measuring instruments. (CMM)
- Spot checks machined parts during each specific production sequence.
- Initiates nonconformance reporting when necessary.
- May certify product through Certification of Compliance when required.
- Monitors plant for correct procedures relating to QMS.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work area in accordance with Company programs, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible to properly clock in and out of M2M/Shop Floor Manager for payroll purposes and review daily time records for accuracy.
- Participates in corrective action activities as required.
- Remains productive by seeking out tasks and assisting others when slow or idle.
- Maintains open communication and works with other Departments as required or necessary.
- Participates in and follows the Company Quality System and all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
- Participates in and supports continuous improvement and associated training.
- Responsible to adhere to the Company Quality Policy and to understand and follow all applicable Quality Work Instructions, Policies, and Procedures.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School graduate.
- Beginners Knowledge of AS9102C and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Methodology / Requirements.
- GD&T Certification preferred. Without GD&T Certification, Employee must have the ability to complete certification and have ability to fully utilize skills.
- Must be U.S. person within the meaning of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) with ability to present acceptable, original documents to prove identity and authorization to work.
- 1-years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with various measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
- Reasonable understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize a computer and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing and other work-related software.
- Good math skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with multiple deadlines and commitments with supervision, strong time management skills.
- A team player, willing to take on extra tasks as necessary and create/maintain healthy working relationships.
- Working conditions are normal for both the office and manufacturing environment.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
- While performing duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand (for moderate to long periods of time), walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. Other frequent activities include, but are not limited to, push/pull of objects, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, and twisting (torso).
- Work may involve lifting materials and product up to 50 pounds.
- Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and gloves. Long hair is required to be tied back.
