Precision Manufacturing Group, Inc., a fabricator of precision metal products, is seeking an Industrial Regional Sales Manager responsible for maintaining, identifying, and developing an industrial customer base for PMG. This position requires extensive upfront cold calling, networking efforts, and sales strategy development. Potential customers will have needs and requirements related to PMG’s unique metal fab capabilities including engineering services. The goal is to meet or exceed sales and booking goals through the development of new accounts and programs, expansion of existing accounts and direct penetration of competitive accounts.

This position will offer a base salary plus comission on sales brought in.
Essential functions:
- Make frequent sales calls on potential new customers as well as maintaining relationships with established customers
- Develop application data into technical proposals and quotations.
- Manage new accounts, providing service and contractual support.
- Add new customers to our current customer base.
- Direct, coordinate and expedite factory resources necessary to meet customer requirements.
- Gain competitive product/pricing strategies and information.
- Produce effective logistic and time planning of sales activities, travel planning, and prioritizing.
- Produce effective verbal and written communication for activities and sales reports, customer correspondence, etc.
- Forge effective communication and working relationships with Customer Service and Estimating.
- Effectively utilize ERP System as well as basic understanding of business software programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Requirements & Skills:
- Preferred candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in the metal fabrication world, especially laser cutting and forming
- Should have 3-5 years outside technical industrial sales experience;
- Successful candidates should have strategic alliances with key contacts in the industrial marketplace.
- Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience is suitable.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community.
- Ability to write technical proposals.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and customers.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate, energize.
