What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician - / Aerospace 5 Years Min Exp. position at Precision Mold & Tool Government Division?
Aircraft manufacturing company looking to fill a full time position for experienced Sheet Metal Technician with aerospace experience / back shop.
*Have ability to set-up and operate CNC Down Acting Hydraulic Press Brake (Amada preferred currently have model HFB 2204), shear and roller.
*Able to form and fabricate sheet metal components using the necessary equipment and knowledge.
*Read and interpreting blueprints, sketches, written instructions, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. to fabricate and assemble to quality requirements parts and assemblies.
*Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate assembly progression.
*Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
*Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final assembly and/or assembly progression.
*Move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, etc.
*Use precision measuring instruments required to accomplish work assignments.
*Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors in parts, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
*Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties (e.g., where applicable, replacing machine filters, changing standard light bulbs on machines and equipment, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels, etc. as related to basic total preventative maintenance duties).
*Maintains a clean and organized work area and production shop.
*Complies fully with all safety procedures
*Ability and willingness to perform all required tasks including any future reasonable additions to this position.
Competitive Salary, Based on experience.
Hours of operation are Mon-Thursday 7:00 a.m-6:00 p.m. Closed Fridays and weekends.
