Senior Strategic Program Manager

Precision Neuroscience
Santa Clara, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 1/24/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/23/2025

Description

Precision is building a direct connection between the human brain and computers, to benefit the hundreds of millions of people worldwide suffering from neurological conditions. Established in 2021, we are a leader in the development and commercialization of brain–computer interfaces (BCI).

As a Precision employee, you will be collaborating with experts across a diverse array of fields–including neurosurgery, mechanical engineering, machine learning, and microfabrication–to push the boundaries of what is possible. You will be joining a well capitalized and fast-moving company. In the three years since Precision’s founding, we have built and validated a product and have begun human trials in partnership with some of the country’s leading neurosurgery programs. And you will be working toward a deeply meaningful goal : restoring function to people living with devastating neurological conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative disease such as ALS. Our platform will enable these individuals to regain independence, communicate with loved ones, and return to work.

We are seeking a Senior Manager / Director of Strategic Program Management to develop an implementation program that is strategically aligned with our market and business goals.

This position is on-site at our Santa Clara office. We are unable to hire people not currently based in the United States, and who do not have working rights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Framework : Establish a framework in partnership with Clinical and Product that ensures our clinical, product and market strategy can be executed at a high level internally and externally and is aligned to our business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination : The SPM will facilitate seamless collaboration across teams, including R&D, regulatory, clinical, product, engineering and operations, ensuring that all departments are aligned and working towards common objectives.
  • Partner with TPM : The SPM will partner with and rely on TPM for strong technical program management of the multiple Engineering workstreams (HW, SW, FW, AI).
  • Clinical Program Support : Successfully deploying our medical devices and clinical programs at new hospital sites requires strong relationships and clear processes with external stakeholders. The SPM in partnership with Clinical will develop the appropriate process and infrastructure necessary for Precision to operationally be deployed to hospitals (whether it be research or commercial).
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management : In partnership with Regulatory, the SPM will ensure that all clinical activities comply with relevant regulations, preparing and submitting necessary documentation for approvals and audits.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Collecting and analyzing data from our clinical programs is vital for continuous improvement. The SPM will set program success and measurement KPIs and collect data to provide insights and recommendations, optimizing our clinical strategies, internal continuous improvement and enhancing future deployments. This data-driven approach ensures that our program is effective and continually improving based on real-world evidence.
  • Training and Support : Effective deployment of our medical devices requires that hospital staff are well-trained and supported. In partnership with clinical, the SPM will develop the process to deliver comprehensive training programs at scale, ensuring that users are knowledgeable and confident in using our products. A plan for ongoing support will be developed that addresses any issues promptly, ensuring high satisfaction and successful adoption of our solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strategic Program Management : Proven ability to develop frameworks and align cross-functional teams with business objectives.
  • Advanced Project Management : The complexity of strategic programs demands robust project management to ensure timely and within-budget execution.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership : Skilled in facilitating collaboration across Business, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Expertise in navigating medical device regulations, submissions, and risk management practices.
