As a Precision employee, you will be joining one of the fastest moving and best-capitalized companies in the emerging field of BCI. Since our founding in 2021, Precision has secured over $155 million in funding, developed and validated our technology, and initiated human trials in collaboration with some of the nation's top hospitals.

We are seeking a Test Engineer to design and implement electrochemical and other test systems for key components of our implantable devices.

In this role you will play a key part in proving out the reliability and performance of our BCI technology, leveraging materials expertise to identify and measure fundamental properties of components and interfaces in our highly complex system.

This position will be based in our Santa Clara office. We are unable to consider remote workers or people not currently based in the United State with working rights.

Key Responsibilities


  • Designs and operates electrical and electrochemical test equipment and processes for the thin film, packaging and electronic sub-assembly components of Precision's product.

  • Works with Precision's Quality and other engineering teams to generate and maintain documentation associated with the product development cycle including requirements generation, risk management, and Verification and Validation.

  • Completes upkeep and calibration of laboratory instruments and orders lab supplies.

  • Assists in the development of new materials or chemical/electrochemical processes.

  • Communicates project updates on progress, risks, options, barriers and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborates with the rest of our team to publish and present our work.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Masters' degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related discipline.

  • 3 years' experience working in similar roles.

  • Expert in lab-based programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW or equivalent.

  • Experience with testing of electrochemical systems and devices, including use of equipment such as potentiostats, sourcemeters, and multichannel test equipment.

  • Experienced with building new electrochemical test systems.
