What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist I position at Precision One Medical?
SUMMARY
The CNC Machinist I is responsible for all scheduled parts assigned to them to be completed per the drawing(s) and by the scheduled due date in all cells. Responsible to machine acceptable production parts utilizing production equipment per drawing, DHR, and any other ancillary written instructions in cells.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Set up and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) lathes according to blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
- Set all tools, coolant lines, collets, and guide bushings.
- Observe operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as gages, calipers, micrometers, comparator, and tool makers.
- Understand and perform all work instructions.
- Participate in on-the-job training for Cell Operators and Cell Operator Trainees.
- Accurately enter all information requested into MRP/ERP system.
- Perform special assignments as directed by supervision commensurate with experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must have 2 years of manufacturing experience.

Fast paced and dynamic environment with a focus on meeting production targets and deadlines, with an emphasis on efficiency, productivity, and quality control.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration, The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions, such as high and low temperatures on the manufacturing plant floor, lighting, loud noises from machine operations, exposure to chemicals and physical hazards, and handling of hazmat waste. In such cases, proper Personal Equipment (PPE) is required and will be provided.
